Puzzleboat is a UK-based puzzle label built from the spirit of persistence, creativity, and a healthy disregard for the ordinary. We're rooted in Glasgow, with creative ties to Berlin and London — and a deep love for art, music, and subculture.

We exist because the puzzle world needed shaking up. We make puzzles for neurospicy thinkers, queer collectors, gift givers with taste, and anyone who appreciates a challenge that looks as good as it feels to solve.

The name?

A compromise. Our original brand, Motherpuzzler, hit a legal wall. We tried registering Puzzle McPuzzleface — a nod to the infamous Boaty McBoatface. That got rejected too. So: Puzzleboat. It stuck. We set sail, and still found a way with Motherpuzzler, which now has it's home, exclusively in the UK, here.

What we do

Puzzleboat is the UK's exclusive online home of Motherpuzzler — the premium, artist-driven puzzle brand taking the scene by storm across Europe and beyond. Think of Motherpuzzler as the Prada; Puzzleboat puzzles are the Miu Miu. Same house, different energy.

Alongside Motherpuzzler exclusives, we produce our own range of budget-conscious puzzles for regular puzzlers — the ones who cycle through puzzles fast, love a good challenge, and care about cost. Single-colour grids, impossible mosaics, wild textures. Affordable, addictive, and always original.

How we work

• Every design is made with real artists and creators across illustration, photography, graphic design, and more

• We never use stock imagery or AI-generated art — ever

• We produce in small, rotating batches to keep things fresh and exclusive

• UK production wherever possible, using eco-friendly inks and recycled jigsaw board

What's next

We're kicking off with puzzles, but Puzzleboat is expanding into prints, puzzle accessories, apparel, and stickers — all produced locally in the UK, with our own production facilities wherever we can make it happen.
