Puzzleboat is an independent puzzle company built from the spirit of persistence, creativity, and a little bit of chaos.

The idea for Puzzleboat was born after a trademark challenge forced a rethink of our original brand, "Motherpuzzler." In the spirit of good humor, we attempted to register "Puzzle McPuzzleface" — a nod to the famously crowdsourced "Boaty McBoatface" — but the name was denied by regulators. Undeterred, we landed on Puzzleboat, and set sail immediately.

What began as a backup plan quickly grew into a thriving project. Today, Puzzleboat is a design-led, queer artist-driven brand offering limited edition puzzles, posters, and stickers for those who like their challenges a little more offbeat.

We aim to be the "Balenciaga of puzzles" — disruptive, unexpected, and always grounded in bold design and independent creativity.

Puzzleboat is run by a collective of queer artists and independent makers across the UK. Our puzzles are produced in-house, in small rotating batches, using a semi–on-demand model that keeps inventory fresh and releases exclusive. With roots in art, music, and creative grassroots scenes, Puzzleboat exists for puzzlers who want something a little more wild, a little more personal, and a lot more fun.
